I have thirteen minutes to write this post (and include a picture and all of that)
The are two subjects on my mind : “Quiet” and “Rest”
Seems like either one is hard to come by these days.
We live in a very loud culture, and indeed a very busy culture that does not encourage “rest”.
Jesus told his disciples “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.” (Mark 6:31)
Jesus also gave an invitation to all of humanity “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt11:28)
In a culture that feeds on “noise” and promotes busyness, a healthy counteraction is to come to Jesus and rest in him for salvation (who needs the added stress of not knowing what lies beyond the grave), but equally beneficial both to body and spirit, Jesus invites us to come away from the busyness of daily business and to find a quiet place to rest, with Him … Finished it in 11 minutes

What we choose to spend time with will consume our mind. It will influence the way we see the world, and perhaps even dictate the way we act.
When we spend time getting to know God we experience firsthand what is on his “mind” and his mind begins to consume ours, and perhaps things we do that drive us crazy might become a thing of the past.
There is no greater psychological truth than this:
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5
